FABULOUS FRIDAY

What in the world am I doing with curlers in my hair?

Today's fabulous friday is a topic I have struggled with for MANY, MANY years! As you can tell from some of my pictures, my hair is short one day and then long the next (thank you clip in extensions)! This is because I have been struggling for as long as I can remember with hair growth! I not only dye my hair blonde, I love to curl it and straighten it because my hair naturally is a kinky mess.

My mom came across these little red miracles several years ago and I could not figure out how to use them and since I am stubborn and hate reading instruction manuels, I just threw them off to the side.

When I met my husband he told me enough is enough and made me take out my extensions that I had since I was 14 and let my hair breathe for at least one year. It was REALLY tough! I was ALL about my hair!

My hair grew a whole ton but I still missed my long, lucious hair so I got clip ins :)

Anyways back to my little red miracles:

These babies work like a curling iron would but without the frying of the hair part!
You fill the Steaming Pod with water and stick the curlers on the pod one by one. The water steams up into the curler to "heat" it and immediately you place the curler into your hair and move on to the next one. Instead of using the traditional heating, metal, frying hair part it uses water steam to heat the sponge up. It takes about 15 seconds a curler and you leave the curlers in for about 15 minutes and walaa curly hair that  lasts for about two days in my case.

Doing my makeup and bronzing my bod while waiting on my curlers to set

The Steaming Pod

The Red Foamy Part steams and you put the pod over it to hold in place

My new favorite mousse! OSIS +

I use the mousse to help with the curls to last the full two days since my hair is pretty thin I need an extra holder!

So stop burning your hair with that curling iron and grab these little babies and get gorgeous hair without frying it!

You can pick them up from the link below or they usually sell them at your local Sally's Hair Supply! For $30-$40 it is worth a try and I promise you will love them! Caruso curlers have definitely helped my hair grow because I am no longer frying my hair trying to make it look nice.

Comment and let me know if you have tried these out or if you have another method of curling your hair without the burn.
